Shindigg 2025 Postponed
Unfortunately Shindigg 2025 planned for 6-8 June 2025 has been postponed.
With the current State of Emergency in place for the province of Manitoba, the safe and respectful decision is to postpone Shindigg.
While there are places where paddling is still possible, a mass congregation on extremely dry land for camping is too risky, as communities are being forced to evacuate from their homes.
Resources are stretched about as thin as possible across the province, with responders working day and night to fight these fires, holding a large-scale festival despite this feels too big a risk from all perspectives.
This is not a decision we are happy to make, as this festival holds a very special place in all of our hearts. Community gatherings of this scale are few and far between.
However, it is for the best for the people and the land, we appreciate your understanding.
While we don’t know what the rest of the year holds, we will organize some sort of community gathering as we miss all your smiling faces and fun conversations in eddys on the way down the river
For those of you who have paid festival fees, refunds will be processed via the previous method of payment promptly.
If you are looking for a way to help this weekend, please call Red Cross (1-800-418-1111) or the MB EMO (204)-945-3050) to find out how to best assist folks who have been displaced by the fires
